What an utter load of rubbish. There's a couple of hours of my life that I'm never getting back. Such a pity as the cast of this should have made this something truly great. This will only be memorable for being terrible.
How does a film like this get a green light? As a Kelly historian and an appreciator of Carey's novel upon which this film claims to be based, the final outcome of Kurzel's failed attempt does a disservice to both Carey and Australian history. I reckon he'd be lucky to get a job directing Neighbours episodes after this embarrassment. Just the worst portrayal i have ever seen. To have all these Kelly gang getting around in dresses as some sort of transvestite bushrznger is just ludicrous and an insult to the Kelly gangs legend. Worst movie ever.
Unfortunately this is nothing like it could've been, horribly written and a complete waste of time and money. I'm surprised Charlie and Russel put their names on this absolute piece of garbage. Don't watch this, it's not worth it at all. Wish I could get 2 hours of my life back. Smh what a let down.
